When I decided to start this site, I asked people what they’d like to read about. Not very surprisingly, most said… Diet.

For 20 years, I’ve adjusted my eating habits to try to combat a number of short & long term health problems. Reading intensively on all subjects health & diet related.

During too many of those years, I deprived myself in the name of health.

Fast forward to where I am now…

I eat in line with what my body wants or needs at any given moment. I primarily eat vegetables. Peppered with some meat (in small quantities) when my body craves it. I eat dairy, wheat, sugar (and I drink alcohol) all in moderation. I focus on quality, not quantity. Choosing organic, non GMO, locally sourced products when available.

I do not diet. This is a way of life. I could follow a more extreme, healthier approach. Such an approach for me is unsustainable. So, I choose long term sustainability over short term, temporary results.

I choose what fits into my lifestyle. The one I have. And, the one I want.

For this reason, I’ve decided to label my food related section… A Way Of Life.

Diets are something people go on & off of all the time. Even worse, dieters are some of the most unhealthy, unhappy people you will find.

Our goal instead should be…

To work towards a healthier body & mind. Realizing that food is meant to provide both nourishment and pleasure in our lives.
